I totally dont know if I spelled that right, lol. Anywho...I was thinking about getting some poster board and making up some big ole' signs with simple statements about circumcision-Like foreskins are not a birth defect, the AAP doesnt recommend circing, do your research, etc, and then standing with a group of people outside of the local hospitals, like on the street. Maybe it would get some parents or parents-to-be to question the procedure, you know? I know we have a pretty low circ rate around here, but I know a lot of people who have had their sons circ'd purely because no one told them that things have changed, that it isnt recommended. Its sad when a baby has his penis hacked period-but its even sadder when the parents really have no clue. Maybe this will get some people to question it-and if it saves even one baby, it's worth it! Would anyone else be interested in joining us?

I think it's a great idea, Cari, and I bet the men at D. O. C. and the restore group in Seattle would come out to support you, too.

Probably the most impactful work you could do right now in Seattle would be to make calls to the local TV and News stations asking them if they are going to cover the NOCIRC international symposium at the U. of Wash. It would be great to get a lot of local publicity for this world class event. Suggest to them that they phone Marilyn Milos for interviews, talk to John Geisheker (lawyer in Seattle) and have them look into the subject of restoring.

If you want contact emails or any help with that just pm me. Baybee (in Vancouver BC)
