Ok DH's wisdom teeth are out. The dentist said that the surgery went smoothly but that all 4 were quite impacted and he really had to work to get the 2 off the bottom. DH is in lots of pain!

We can't start salt-water rinses or irrigation of the lower sockets for a couple days.
He's on Hydrocodone for the pain but so far he is still really hurting. We are icing as much as possible. I am trying to give him fluids and milkshakes as much as he will tolerate them. I know that this is the worst part since its only been about 3 hrs since the teeth came out. I just feel so bad for him.
Any ideas for soothing this kind of pain?
