So my bestest friend in the world of 22+ years is coming to visit. She will be here this weekend, over Mothers day. I'm very excited because she is finally a Mommy too. She is, of course, bringing her 6 month old (that I consider my niece). I have wanted my bff to be a Mommy for years and years! And now she is one and we can share in this adventure and I get to be with her on her very first Mothers day. I would like to make this special for her. Even though it's Moms day for me too, I honestly don't even care, I just want to commemorate my friends very first one. (her hubby will not be with us). Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions? Something to make, something to do, something to eat. P.S. she is dairy and wheat free.
I just really really really want to do something a little extra special for her but I cannot think of what.
Help please?!

Oh! How about making a scrapbook for her and the baby! It could be a mother's day scrapbook that she can fill every year??? Sorry, I'm not very creative lol! You can take lots of pictures that day to start her scrapbook off.
Do you want to take her out to a restaurant or make her a meal? Maybe make her her very fave dish ever.

Thanks for your ideas! I think we are going to go see the movie that is coming out on Mothers day. "Babies" It really is so appropriate for this moment we will have together. Her baby will come too
Also, I think I will write out her birth story since I was her doula. I have never written it out for her. She will be ecstatic. Then my husband is going to get us an edible arrangement that I've hinted around about. Hinted around as in told him to get. lol Just cuz I think they look fun.
Overall it will be a nice day.

You could also make some dairy-free, gluten-free brownies.
