I lost my milk instantly, even before I knew I was pg. DD1 went from nursing every hour while awake to nursing once a week by the time DD2 was born.

My both of my boys weaned themselves when I was pregnant with the next child. I think I was about 6 mo. the first time and about 5 mo. the second time.

I nursed my dd while pregnant with ds. Milk disappeared around 20ish weeks, but dd kept on. One thing that surprised me was that once ds was born and my milk returned, dd got these peanut-butter poops, kind of reminiscent of newborn diapers.

i'm currently somewhere around 22 weeks and nursing a 22 month old. my supply has dropped drastically!! but i'm still producing a little. the hardest part for me is the sensitivity. and when new babe starts moving around inside and older babe is nursing it can be difficult. but i made the commitment, so i'm going to keep going.

Nursing DD who is about to turn 2. Had a very full supply until soon after 30 weeks then it diappeared overnight. She never stroped nursing. Then the colostrum came, she HATES it. And there's tons of it as luck would have it...so she is down from nursing about a dozen times a day to about, I dunno..maybe 5 or a little more. But I have no doubt when the milk comes back she'll pick back up.

Dd2 was 23 months when I got pregnant with dd3. She was never a big comfort nurser and was only nursing a few times a day, anyway. So when my milk dried up around 20 weeks she was done.

Thanks ladies! My DD is not quite 11 months and I just found out I'm about 8 weeks pregnant. So far there doesn't seem to be a change in supply amount, and I am hoping that we keep going strong. DD loves to eat solids, so some decrease will be okay.

I was still nursing my 19 month old when we got pregnant (Nov. 07). I continued to nurse, although I had terrible morning sickness. Finally in February I was just so tired with work and being sick a lot that I stopped. I had been down to 1-2 times per day, and she didn't even seem to realize she had stopped. My doctor had recommended stopping by month something like 20 weeks, and I had thought I would continue anyway, but just physically could not. At that point I still seemed to have milk, so it must vary from person to person.

I nursed during 2 pregnancies and both times DC were fine. It's the comments from friends/family/strangers that were not o.k and frustrating. Expect everyone and anyone to be in your business.

no change. my supply dipped around week 33 but came back after a few days as colostrum. ds2 didn't like it much at first and dropped to 1-2feedings a day but within a couple of weeks was nursing as much as ever.

My supply drop was the first sign of being pregnant this time around...I have such leakage & oversupply that I could tell something was up when I didn't have to wear nursing pads anymore. Poor DS was only 8 1/2 months old, but we managed & now he's only nursing *maybe* once per day for a few minutes, but I'm due anytime now, so hopefully he'll pick back up again when baby arrives.

As for other people's responses? I've had lots of people make comments/ask questions about when I'll have Joey weaned before the next baby comes along, but I just answer that I'm looking forward to having two nursing at once & that maybe I won't have such leaking issues since Joey will be helping.

My supply dropped a bit but I didn't lose my milk until about the 7th month and DD was about 16 months old. SHe tried to nurse a few times again after the baby was born but i was only a handful of times and she never started again.

I lost my supply by 14 weeks pregnant, but my DD was only nursing 2-5 times a week and is nearly 4. If I had been pregnant earlier in her life that may not have been the case.
