do you just put on the SOS diaper with the doubler it came with then maybe a wool cover or something?? could i try 2 doublers?? my dtr is a pretty heavy wetter most of the time at night (or maybe in the wee hrs of the morning when she wakes a bit!) but some mornings she does wake up dry. she is 23 months just about.

so we used to do ezzigear with a doubler then a wool cover but she seemed so wet most mornings we started getting lazy and using sposies : at night again. she never leaked outa the dipes just thought she might be cold or feel yukky even with fleece topped doubler b/c the diaper was soaked from end to end.

any input would help b/c i have two brand new SOS dipes just hangin out on top of the dryer and i dont want a disaster if i can avoid it. thanks.

Well no matter what I put DS in, he waks up SOAKED! But yes, we use SOS with two hemp doublers and a Celtic Wool cover for night. My DS is 26 months and a heavy night wetter.

But I do use it with a doubler and usually my wool butt sweater pants I made. Unless DS drank a ton before he went to sleep this works well.

Mine didn't come with a doubler either. I think it is an addon. I use mine with a doubler that I got with my growing greens. Then a wool soaker over that.

I have had babies wake up plenty went in sposies too. Only difference is, when they wake up soaked in cloth, there are no gross gel bead explosions.

my dd is 4 months old. we use an sos with the doubler (yes, they are optional and cost extra) with a wool cover or longies. i have had great luck with the sos and we use them every night.

some mama here, can't remember who, used a wool liner outside of the diaper and under the cover. other mamas tried this and said it worked awesome. this would be a good idea for a super soaker as the wool forces the diaper to absorb more.

I put an all-hemp SOS on Lexi w/the fleece topped doubler under a wool cover- either a Loveybums, Celtic Wolf or Kiwi Pie. She does get a rash on her belly where the wet dipe touches her , and it doesn't happen with our other nightime fitteds (FCB Nightlights) but they do stand up to a heavy wetter overnight w/the doubler, IME

An all-hemp SOS with a fleece-topped doubler with a wool soaker works well for us, but my 23 mo dd is usually only a moderate wetter. Rarely the entire diaper is soaked, but with the wool soakers we haven't had a leak yet!

Every single night ds1 wears an all hemp SOS with a fleece topped hemp doubler, with a Sugarpeas wool flannel cover. It is a perfect combo for us - never a leak, and not ridiculously bulky.

My dd is a heavy wetter as well. I use an SOS with a fleece topped doubler and wool longies. Most mornings the whole diaper is soaked, not a dry spot on it, but it doesn't seem to bother her at all. I love my...I mean her SOS's!

thanks so much for the info!!! wow! i will try some of those combinations out. i have a LL wool soaker that is kinda big but works well for bulk. i just got a stacinator stretch wool cover so i thought i might give that a go. my mom knitted some soakers but i am not sure i will be able to convince her they are pyjamas!!! it would be good to get away from sposies at night again. i guess pee is just as cold in the sposie as it is in a cloth diaper. maybe even warmer with the wool cover!! i bought the hand dye hemp fleece diapers. i hope those are the right ones. they feel very thick. i bought a used one off ebay and i guess it has had it b/c it just doesnt feel the same. it is a plain beige colour with a sage coloured serging on it. guess that is why someone was selling it !

Yes, I use sos overnight and my little boy is almost 26 months ... often he does not pee at night ... but IF he does he FLOODS the diaper.

I use a SOS with two doublers and wool cover, or SOS with one doubler and one wool doubler under it with a wool cover. Either option works very well!

wowee!! just had to post and say this is a great nighttime solution for us and worked amazingly well!! it felt like she was just damp this morning! i think she did all the peeing between 5 and 7 but still it was amazing that she wasnt cold, wet and clammy!! i think maybe just maybe the cloth helps her not to feel so free with the pee. i mean if i got her up at 5 she would be totally dry partly b/c she does better in the cloth b/c it is cloth. hope that makes sense. i think she is on her way to potty training but i think you still need a night dipe for quite a while so i am so glad we found this and get outa sposies at night!

Glad it worked for you! We use all hemp SOS with one doubler (the fleece topped ones they come with) and a wool cover or pants. Some mornings he wakes up soaked and some just a little wet but we have never had leaks with this system.

We use Nightlights and wool for night time, but as a back up, for when I haven't done laundry, I have 2 all hemp SOS that we use. I use then with a Little Lounging Lizards hemp stuffer folded up inside the diaper and then the wool soaker (usually, sometimes wool pants) over. Holden *almost* always wakes up dry in this.

Finding the right night solution is tough - glad you found something that works for you
