And you typically bring your lunch to work, do you have those days when you just want more than what you brought, and/or somethng different? ANd if so, do you go out for lunch or do you just suck it up and eat what you have? (I"m a big baby, I know, but I am always so hungry these days).

I try to stick to buying lunch only once a week, but sometimes I end up eating my lunch for late breakfast and end up starving again by 1:00. So rather than starve, I buy lunch. Besides almonds or other nuts, there is not much I can eat that is easy to bring for snacks. And cant live on nuts until 6:00PM ++

Other. I keep emergency rations in my desk drawer for one of "those" days: popcorn, low-sodium soup, and a can of Spaghetti O's could each serve in a pinch

I voted "other" because I'll just supplement what I brought with something from the vending machine.

AH vending machine! I knew there was a reason for other! I tend to not keep food around, as I will just eat it, nor cash for the same reason.

Darnit! I'm off to buy lunch. Crap, I should just plan better.

I would try to keep that kind of stuff on hand, but occasionally I would go out and grab something if I really felt like it. I tried to keep it to a minimum though!

I usually will just eat what I brought, but sometimes that just doesn't work for me. Luckily we have a cafeteria here so I can just pop in there and buy something else too.

I voted suck it up, but I will also supplement from the cafeteria/vending machines, and I keep supplements at my desk too (frozen chickn patty, almonds, a thingy of applesauce).

I voted "suck it up", but that's mainly because there's very little vegan stuff available here in the building and I'm too lazy to drive anywhere to buy something.

Well I work 2 doubles and a single, I use to work at a group home so you couldn't leave once there. Now that I work in a home and basically hang out with 1 client, sometimes we we go out to eat but usually I eat what I bring. It's a lot easer now that I get to sleep 8 hours of my shift.

It varied depending on where I was working. When I was in an office building with a cafeteria downstairs, I'd sometimes buy something to supplement what I'd brought. It was easy to buy one or two small, relatively inexpensive items. When I worked at a supermarket, I didn't work long enough shifts for full meal breaks (even though there was plenty of food readily accessable for sale) but sometimes I'd buy a drink on my break.

When I worked at the eye dr office, it was a choice between eating what I packed or ordering lunch with the rest of the office from wherever they were ordering food from that day. The office was too small for more than one lunch delivery and too far from any places that sold food to be able to purchase anything during the workday except for what the group had delivered. I'm not sure if I ever joined in with the lunch ordering- I was only working because we desperately needed money, and I was working as few hours as we could get away with.

I voted "other", and based on my experiences working out of the house in the past, even though currently I'm not employed.

Yeah, this is something I am REALLY bad at and trying to change. I'll pack a lunch the night before, but they come lunchtime the next day I'll find I am really in the mood for something else. I work right next door to a grocery store, so it's really easy for me to pop in for something from the deli, or frozen food section, etc... I'm trying to cut back though.

Actually, this happened to me today! I can run out to the pizza place one block away where a huge and incredibly good slice is $2.20, so I don't feel too guilty. Ate that, and am now eating the gazpacho that I brought for lunch. There is also a cafeteria in the building, but when I don't want what I brought for lunch, it's usually because I'm craving pizza: so the cafeteria doesn't do.

I always eat what I brought but will then sometimes treat myself to a candy bar or something. That way I'm only spending $.80. (Or $1.19 if I go for king size ).

Like Sharlla, once I am at work, I can not leave. Luckily I have a private kitchen there, so I keep it stocked with items that I can cook or microwave.

I probably eat out once a month, if that, and it's usually a planned thing.

I keep a pretty substantial stash of food in my desk drawers and in the fridge at work. I bring leftovers if there are any or I eat from the stash of food that I have here. Once in a great while, I'll succumb to a frozen Amy's meal or something of that nature.

I would probably eat what I brought, and then get a snack in the afternoon. Oh who am I kidding, I do that ALL THE TIME! The only thing near my work is the evil coffee conglomerate so the choices are pretty limited...

I work in a school so if I don't like what I brought I'll eat the cafeteria food, BUT, I don't like much of anything they serve so I'll just suck it up and eat it.
