I have to say from the outset, I'm a little bummed. I just now found the short-row hat featured in the winter 2005 issue (I know, I'm more than a little behind. My first child was born in the fall of '05, and I just never caught up. But I know you know all about that...), but it was one of the patterns that you had to go online and print out--it wasn't actually published in the print magazine. From what I gather, they renegotiated contracts with many of the designers and so now, if the designer wishes, they pull the Web patterns after such a period of time and then offer them for sale in the online store.
But isn't this a little...odd? You pay for the magazine, you get the patterns. Only not. If the pattern for the garment you like is online and you don't go there quick enough, you pay again. Boo.
Am I being miserly or selfish? OK, don't really tell me if I am. Or if you do, tell me nicely. But I'm curious what y'all think of this policy...
