I saw an acupuncturist on Friday for the first time (ever) for my "morning" sickness... and I have felt sooooo much better since then! I can tell I'm starting to go downhill, as of this afternoon, but I go back tomorrow and then again on Saturday. I am a little curious as to whether it was coincidence or not (acupuncture is such a mystery to me--a fascinating mystery!), but I am very hopeful at this point that the doctor will be able to help. I remember someone in the November DDC recommending it on one of the posts about morning sickness......whoever that was, thank you!!!

I've never done it, but I'm glad it worked for you and that you're feeling better!

My MIL is a reflexologist and it REALLY helps with morning sickness and labour! Problem is: she lives in Denmark and I can't afford a reflexologist here <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad">

I've got a consultation and then possibly a treatment on thursday. It will be my first time. I was going to go the next cycle for infertility, but got pg instead. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin"><br><br>
I'm excited! I hope mine helps as much as yours did!

Oh good!! I hope it works out for you too. I woke up feeling terrible and threw up my toast... and then my orange juice..... I can't wait for my next appointment this afternoon. I sure hope it wasn't just a coincidence!! Good luck!

I am thinking about getting an appointment but have been holding off due to money issues. I also didn't bother finding a new acupuncturist before I got preggers so now I am feeling pretty stuck with her because she has my file, I know her, etc.. But my problem with her is that she's pretty brutal. I miss my doctor from New York! Her treatments were so easy and always worked on whatever was bothering me. This doc is pretty harsh.

I was seeing an np/acu while ttc and he was harsh too. You'd think it would be the opposite. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br><br>
We're extremely lucky with our insurance. They don't pay much for wages, but we get 70% of acu, chiro and naturo covered! It's nice.<br><br>
feel better maclolo! I hate the ickies. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad">

This didn't work for me last time...I was throwing up throughout and after the appointment. Maybe I didn't follow through enough, but money was definitely an issue. I'm being encouraged to try again with someone else. Maybe.<br><br>
For others for whom money is the deterrent, is there an acupuncture/chinese medicine school anywhere near you? I went to my friend's clinic hours when she was in school and we lived in NYC. She didn't get any of the money, but I only had to pay the school $15 per session and she needed lots of hours to graduate. It was wonderful and really helped me with migraines and healing some past trauma.
