I am so frustrated again with nighttime diapering....
We have some good nights, but mostly soaked sheets in the am.
And there doesn't seem to be rhyme or reason. It doesn't matter if she drinks alot or not at all in the evening...ugh!!
Some mornings shes dry, some she wets a little, but most she just soaks right thru.
Last night was a fuzzi bunz with a THICK hemp soaker. Well, it absorbed plenty but she just peed WAY more than it'll hold. I tell ya, shes like a bursting tanker....rofl
Anyhow, most nights I change her around 1 am, and she usually still pees thru.....

ugh!!!
Thanks for hearing me moan and complain today. The dreariness outside makes my mood worse...lol

eek, hope someone with a flooder can give you some ideas. i'm guessing with that much pee even a disposable might leek.
how about a wool soaker over your fuzzibunz or is it leaking more than that? mine is an early morning power pee'er rather than at night so i can't help ya. sounds frustrating though!!

I second the Nighty Newts from LLL. But if you need something quick I really love the Polar Babies Hemp prefolds.. they have one specific for nighttime diapering. I use those with a fleece topped doubler and my Pickle Pants and NEVER have a leak with this combo. You can get them instock at www.diaperware.com. Hugs and good luck. .

what size is dd? I have a fleece night time diaper from Cozitimebabies that is way to bulky and absorbs way to much from my light wetter. I bet with some hemp or a trifold prefold it would hold up to you power wetter. I had it on ds once and he pooped in it and I dropped it in the toilet while I was shaking the poop off and it soaked up all of the water in the bowl. It is a size medium.

Do you want to try it?

My 3 year old is the same way, it sounds like. We have one FB that we use. When we use that it's stuffed with 12 layers of hemp fleece and a trifolded, microterry towel.
OR a homemade hemp fitted diaper with about the same amount of layers in there and a wool or fleece cover.

Since my DS fills a sposie during the night so much that it not only leaks, it actually starts squeezing out thru the plasticy stuff (even with buying the expensive sposies), I was really scared to put him in cloth at night. Not only is what I am doing working, however, this morning his whole diaper wasn't even wet. There were dry areas still! This is what is working for me based on my very limited resources available when my DS decided to stop pottying in the toilet:

SOS with a preemie CPF and a sherpa soaker stolen from one of his sister's diapers (from the berry patch) with a Gerber plastic pants cover. I know the Gerber plastic pants cover isn't ideal, but it's all I have that will fit him.

Pockets just don't cut it overnight for us, and neither do sposies. That's the #1 reason we switched to cloth!

A good fitted (hemp preferably) with a mondo soaker and a good cover. I swear by Airflow's. I've never had a leak, even in a totally saturated diaper, unless I screw up and leave a corner sticking out.

I have a 4yog who can't sleep at all and not wet. We are talking heavy wetter. So at night I use a Nightly Newt with a doubler and a microtopped doubler over it with an XL oatmeal lavender Kiwi Pie. The wool is damp in the thigh area, but not the sheets. I put nightshirts on her so no pajama pants. She has some lovely wool and she can get it off in the AM and get her undies back on.

For naps, I slip her brother's swim diaper, a BSWW cotton print with a prefold on her. I only need to catch one pee and I don't use fleece because I want her to know that she wet.

Im sorry hI know how frusturating that can be. For us what solved our night issues were using a JB, prefold and then another jb on top insode a FB. And we also use three jb's inside a fb with the top one being fleeced topped as well. either combinations works although she has one heck of a booty with all that stuffin

When my ds was about 20 months old his nightime pee just became too much for any cloth to handle, even our ever faithful Aristocrats weren't cutting it. He started waking up several times a night because he was uncomfortable from being wet and having a diaper stuffed to the max! Being 6 months pg I gave up nightime diapering (still used cloth for day) and just used disposables
: , even then he sometimes leaked. Thankfully he potty trained fully for daytime by 2 yrs old, but our nights are still about 50/50. Since he's not wetting as much at night now I've gone back to cloth for nights- I use the shell of a PUL AIO stuffed with 2 hemp doublers and one wool liner I cut out of a fulled sweater. That wool layer seems to make the difference. Good Luck!
