I wonder whether any other CD'ers forgo the diaper pail?
I cd'd dd#1 but quit after about 6 months because I couldn't handle the diaper pail. I guess it didn't help being a new mom.
I used 'sposies on dd#2, as well. I never felt good about it, but there it is. I have used them for the first year with dd#3 as well. I just went back to cloth while diapering dd3 and preggers with ds.
I finally had the "aha" moment I've been waiting for. I don't need a diaper pail! I now set up the foldable laundry drying rack in the bathtub. I rinse poo's in the potty or pee's in the tub, and hang them up to dry. They are all dry and not stinky or gross when wash-time comes. I am thrilled to have discovered this. Has anyone else found alternative ideas to using a dirty diaper pail?

I use a laundry basket and dump it into the washer without having to touch anything
I also wash everyday so the stink doesnt get to bad thatway (still having bm poopies, so that isnt as stinky as toddler poo)

I use a waterproof bag hanging on the door knob to the laundry room. Empty dipes and bag into washing machine on wash day. I'd go crazy if I had something set up in my tub that had to be taken down when it was time to use the tub. I am also a bit of a clean freak so if I rinsed diapers in the tub, I'd be cleaning the tub everytime as well.
I am glad it's working for you though and that you shared it, as there are likely other mamas out there who will appreciate your solution!

I have not tried this yet because I don't have my own washer but I have been told that you can fill your washer with water and just throw ditry diapers in it throughout the day and at the end of the day set it to wash. I will try it someday.

We just put 'em all in her laundry basket with a liner (just a nylon laundry tote) and I haul it to the washer every other day. No water or anything.

I haven't ever had any stinky problems with my diaper pail!
Thank goodness. That was one of my biggest concers wtih CDing.

I wash usually every other day, so it doesn't really get a chance to get too stinky anyway.

I just have a regular diaper pail (Safety 1st), and it's lined with a cheapo garbage bag (haven't gotten around to getting a wetbag). I throw a cloth wipe with lavender oil in the "deo disk" holder. I also sprinkle some baking soda in the bottom of my pail. It works for us!!

I'm glad you found a solution though! I'm sure some moms are looking for something like that!
