Anyone up for a get-together sometime this summer? I know things are busy during summertime...I just missed the last one, so I'd like to "rub shoulders" with some natural mamas again!

What days of the week work best for everyone? I'm flexible!

That sounds fun.

oooh... a pool would be wonderful! Julia would stay in the pool all day if I would let her.

Do you have to be a kirkwood resident to use the pool?

I only babysit on Mondays now so the rest of the week is free for us (yay!)

It would be so nice to get together again.

From 10:00 to 12:00 everyday the Kirkwood pool has what they call Tot time, its open to all - residents and non-residents - I think its $4.00 a kid (adults don't pay). They kick you out at 12:00 so the regular pool time opens, only for residents and their guests.

Riverchase, in Fenton, is another good pool, you also have to pay a little bit to get in, but its open to all and we could meet whenever.

I think there'd be benefits to either place - if we did Kirkwood, maybe we could have a picnic lunch together afterward at Noon. (wonder what age child they charge for - think 2 and older, maybe? I'd rather not pay full price for my 15 mo. old! That would be $12 for us for 2 hours!) We love Riverchase too - just a little bit harder to keep track of my kids there. Might make it hard to "visit" with the mamas! Another nice pool I've seen is past Grant's Farm - White Cliff? Anyone know if it's open for non residents? That's kind of central-ish like Kirkwood, if for some reason Kirkwood wouldn't work out. So many of the pools around here have swim-lessons in the a.m. I really like the idea of swimming and then a picnic! (anywhere to picnic around the Kirkwood pool?)

Kirkwood has TERRIFIC areas for a picnic. There is a lot of shade and one of the play areas has a water spout thingy so if the kids get warm they can cool off again. The only bad thing is that it isn't great for kids over say...6 during tot time. They only have the toddler area open, but the big waterslides, regular swimming pools, and other things are not open. Even the bucket on the toddler area is turned off. The small water slide is open, off the toddler equiptment and the lazy river, around the whole thing, is open.

Personally, I just remembered that my son has swimming lessons for the next two weeks at 11:00am at our pool, in south county... so I wouldn't be able to go to tot time unless we did a weekend or wait till two weeks from now. Bummer. Can anyone do Saturdays?

Another option is Springdale, I think its out on 141, near 21... its a HUGE gradiated pool, so no one has to go in deeper than they want to. Picnic areas there too... don't know the cost though.

Whitecliff is the Crestwood pool and only open to residents and their guests. That is one of the things I am really going to miss about living in Crestwood!

And I believe kirkwood pool is right next to the kirkwood park (playground and sprinkler) and they have a pavillion with tables.

The pool and picnic afterwards sounds great. Saturday's normally wouldn't be a problem but Ds just started swimming class at the South County YMCA this past Saturday. I'm tied up for the next 6 weeks I think. His class is at 9:30-10:00 am. I could join you late though. Hey, we'd already have our swim suits on, right!

I just read that it is supposed to rain this Sat. morning anyway. BUT, good thing, I realized that my kiddo doesn't have swimming lessons on Fridays. So, we could do this Friday or next.. if anyone is interested in that.

Does anyone know what the age is that they start charging for? I would hate for Alora to have to pay $12 to get all of her group in for the 2 hours.

I know Julia would be just as happy playing in the fountain and on the playground in kirkwood park, but she is still pretty easy to please.

Wherever we go, we can make it on the 25th.

Mine too. It doesn't matter to me wheather we just meet for a picnic or if we go to the pool. We're flexible.
