Hello all...I've been working PT to help with money..my old job offerred my a pretty sweet deal to stay on, as they have noone who can fill my position.....but their funding has been cut and as of the end of the year, no more job for me....I'm torn, because we REALLY need the money...so Im not sure what's gonna happen...At this job, I was making enough per hour i only had to work 10 hrs per week to make enough for ends to meet, and about half of that was from home, so i was not away from dd much.....Any other job, I'll prolly have to work 25+ hrs per week to make the same money......right now, my work hours are around dh's schedule, so he watches dd while i work..if i have to work 25, that won't work, we'll have to put dd in daycare.... Just upset right now...dh is excellent in his field but because he doesn't have a stupid degree, noone will give him a chance...so he's making about half what he should be...dumb crappy crap!

BOOOOO.

Sounds like you are in a tough position. Things are tough right now- this is the third family on this board, this week to come up against a job loss. Hope you and your family work out a solution.

I'm sorry, I got laid off for 3 months last winter and it was no fun. Ok it was a little fun being able to do what I want all day because I had no kids. Hopefully something will come your way and if your being let go at the end of the year you do have a little notice so that might help. I had 5 days notice. Hope everything works out.
