WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush voiced support for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld on Thursday after the Pentagon said Rumsfeld ordered the detention of a terrorist suspect in Iraq who was held for more than seven months without notifying the Red Cross.

"I'm never disappointed in my secretary of defense. He's doing a fabulous job and America's lucky to have him in the position he's in," Bush told reporters at the White House when asked if he was disappointed at Rumsfeld's move.
NEVER? So what, exactly, would it take for Bush to be disappointed in Rumsfeld???

Why can't they ever admit to a mistake?

Why do they think they have a God-given right to do whatever the hell they please?

[end of rant]

Seriously, this reminds me of a song on my son's Winnie the Pooh video. It's been popping into my head lately when they say this stuff.

Nothing can go wrong, if everything is right, if everything is right somehow.
Nothing can go wrong, if everything is right, and everything is right right now.

Well, you've definatley ruined *that* song for me.

Why would Bush be disappointed. I have no doubt that he is in 100% agreement w/all we would criticize Rummy for.

"Never" is such a loaded word--is there a rational person left in this administration?? NEVER?? I love DH to death--he disappoints me. The kids--sometimes. But they are young yet, give 'em time.

Why are they so afraid to admit mistakes?? No one expects them to be perfect. Legal, but not perfect...

Well considering he didn't give a
about the rules of elections when he got elected and the rules of the AF when he failed to go for his physical and never went to war, I'm really not surprised he is flipping the bird to the Geneva convention. He is such an ass, actually they both are.

Yeah, I am starting to love Rumsfield as much as I love Ashcroft.

They'll win the election for the Democrats better than Kerry will.

I just wish they would get to talk more.
