Heya!

I'm Jen SAHM to Kyler who is a year old, married to my DH & expecting my second in October, we are from SE Michigan. I've been facintated with Cloth for awhile, but havent dove head first into it yet, ofcourse until now. I am, was, fed up with paying for disposable diapers and then just throwing them out. I wasnt to sure were to start out so I went with prefolds and well all I could find locally without ordering on the internet was Gerber covers. So far are working ok, altho the fit isnt quite right for my son. Hope to gain more information from all you ladies

Welcome!!! I guess since you are used to CPF and Gerber covers you are going to be amazed by how well lots of other diapers work.

Are you looking to buy more now for your son and the new baby? You may want to try a few one sized things so that they work for both babies. There are a ton of great WAHMs who make amazing diapers -- just hang out here for a while and soon you will understand it all!!!!!

Congrats on the new baby too!

I would suggest you try one brand at a time, because not every diaper works on every baby.

I started out with something from walmart...Not a good idea! I also have tried Kooshies basics fitteds, they are alright for at home but I might as well have prefolds that cost a lot less for that! I also have some AIO's while I like them they are expensive! A lot of moms say they like fleece with a hemp soaker so thats what we will do with the new baby (if I EVER get pregnant!) So I hope that helps......
Hi mama!

"breastraunt!" Very clever and, from experience, very accurate!
welcome to diapering.
There is tons of good information here.
I use CPF's probably 90% of the time too, but have several different covers that I like to use. (And ones I definately like better than Gerber, so hopefully you'll be in for a nice surprise!)

Welcome!

Welcome, fellow October mama!

I second the recommendation to get some one-size diapers, that you can use for both kids. I LOVE Pinheads...I only have one so far, but the fit is awesome on my toddler. I hear SOS are great, too!

Good luck and congrats on making The Switch!

Welcome! Just buy one diaper at a time and try them out. If you are interested in a onesize diaper I'd suggest SOS or Cuddlebuns! I like using fitteds at home and pockets or AIOs when we go out

ChristiansMomma has a great suggestion. I've tried just about everything out there and have found my likes and dislikes. You'll get some great info here!

We have made a PF purchase recently and a couple of fuzzi bunz. We will then have three fuzzi bunz. Has anyone tried wonderoos???? We will then have lots of kushies basics and 10 kushies aio's. Kushies are not my fave!!!! Aio's are good but the basics are just not! And the AIO's are not good for over night!!! They leak all over her jamms!!!!
