Hubby and I DTD on CD 9.... Night before I had just stopped my period officially (brown spotting finished up)

We only used the withdrawal method, but he pulled out with enough time to finish himself.

Withdrawal/charting ladies, I am probably A-OK right? Just got a little paranoid, since lately I've been mostly using condoms and trying to stick with them!

Thanks!

Generally withdrawal is a good method as long as the man still needs some additional stimulation to finish-meaning there will be virtually no chance that any semen is inside you (unless he has already came once before.) Unless you ovulate early in your cycle you probably don't have fertile CM right now and IF any swimmers were in there they would die within a few hours anyway. So if it was me, I wouldn't be worrying

If you had some cervical mucous yet (slippery discharge that's lotiony, watery, or eggwhite-ish at times you weren't aroused) there's some chance of conception from DTD since it could keep any sperm alive to await ovulation. Withdrawal greatly reduces the chance of any sperm making it though. Your odds are very low after that. If it's very important you avoid conception right now and you were worried there would be time to use a morning-after pill and hormonally prevent ovulation and therefore conception.

I think it's really worth it to study NFP, FAM, or the Billings method to know when you're fertile and when you're not so you know when to be very careful if avoiding. Counting cycle days doesn't help anything without tracking symptoms of fertility. And it's great to know when you don't have to be careful at all.
