Well, it's official! I'm suffering from HPD - Hyena Pregnancy Disease. It always seems to set in late in the 3rd trimester, doesn't it? You know, it's where you go over your stash honing it to perfection, making note of what you dreamed all pregnancy of your baby wearing. You notice something is missing, something you've stalked daily for only to get none or few. You think of all the other newborn stashes with WAY more of this item than you have. Those mamas had so much, how do you have so little ("little" being quite relative as the mind of the HPD victim nothing is 100% logical). Time is running out! You have (like me) 6 weeks until EDD. You sink into HPD. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/disappointed.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="disappointed"><br><br>
You don't want HPD. No one wants HPD. HPD can be brought on by the simplest of perceived lacks and seems to increase in intensity until finally you're in labor and forget about HPD.<br><br><b>Is it true that only getting what you perceive as a lack can cure you? Or is there some other cure!?!?</b><br><br>
For me... I've stalked my little heart out since March and through the kindess of others I managed to get two FCB sz0 AIOs... but I dreamed of four!<br><br><img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/bag.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Bag">: Now, really, I have plenty, I have something I thought I'd NEVER get a "Born At Home" Toot Sweet fitted <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/heartbeat.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="heartbeat"> and then a XS Fuzbomb from the TP for $15 <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/banana.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="banana">, handful of the sweetest little fitteds (including one LC <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/heartbeat.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="heartbeat">), Luxe newborn shirt <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/heartbeat.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="heartbeat">, yummy dyed preemie PFs, coffee colorway TCT newborn longies, oh my! I should NOT suffer from HPD... but I do! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/innocent.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="shy"><br><br>
(I can't post this without making a plea - if you mange to see an instock FCB sz0 AIO, please grab it for me. I'll pay you back ASAP! And, if you have one to sell, please, let me know. I'd ESPECIALLY love embroidered. I don't know the sex of our baby, but I think i'd take bubble gum pink with "Daddy's Princess" on the butt at this point!)<br><br>
UPDATE: Thanks so much to the mama selling off her FCBs... i now have spent all my PP and have gained a cute embroidered sz0 AIO!!! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/banana.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="banana">

(If I find you one, you have to loan (or sell) it back to me, for when my little bun arrives in May. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink">)

I think it is hitting me. I want to buy cute little diapers for my baby, even though I am planning on making them myself! Now how bad is that???<br>
I did just buy a custom Honeboy aio, since I suck at making those.. LOL maybe I should get off the computer and go cut some cute diapers out. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/wink1.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="wink1">

Um... somehow though I don't think that's the healthiest advice!!! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/biglaugh.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="laugh">:<br><br>
Thanks for keeping your eyes out, folks! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/privateeyes.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="private eyes">: <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>
So birth will cure me, huh? I have a ways to go still for that. I think I need to find something to keep me busy until then! Maybe I need a hobby. Flyfishing? Macramay? (gotta learn to spell that one first though) Stamp collecting? Oooh, ooh, stamp collecting! That's what I'll do... although I think I'll collect postmarked stamps from WAHMs!!!! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/FIREdevil.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="devil">

You crack me up! If I had been cloth diapering when I was pregnant, I would have had the same problem. For me, I bought TONS of cute little baby clothing.....it's an addiction that, unfortunately, doesn't go away with birth!<br><br>

NO...this is NOT true! LOL i continued with the nb thing even after she was born. It was even better b/c it was more special to put on my little makenzie, instead of "the new baby coming", LOL.

With my last baby, I started dyeing every thing that was white or plain in my stash!<br>
By the time the baby came every T-shirt was tye dyed ! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br>
In a way I am glad I don't know what sex our baby is I think I would be buying even more if I new!<br>
Hang in there Claire.

I've got HPD too, but I've got the severe form, I'm barely into the second trimester and I've got enough diapers for triplets!! The disease is very communicable, watch out. How many tye dyed kimono tees does one baby need?

<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/nod.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="nod"> Yes! Yes! I'm really glad I don't know either! Man, I've seen soooo many cute girly small and newborn things! And, then adorable boyish goodies, too. It would be too hard to resist. In some ways keeping GN helps cut down on a lot!<br><br>
So, there's a mama selling off a lot of FCB and I managed to get one of her EMBROIDERED sz0 AIOs! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/banana.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="banana"> My PP is all gone now, but I'm just one AIO away from my magic #4. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> Hopefully sometime when I get more PP I can get another. YAY!<br><br>
HPD cured for the time being. :LOL

I'm not sure if its HPD for me or just diaper fever... DH keeps reminding me that I've got 6 more months to buy fluff and I've already got too many! I've got my homepage on my browser set to Fluffymail size 0 fitteds in case I stumble by a stocking <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/redface.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Embarrassment"><br><br>
Hang in there, it looks like you've got about a month left? Whatever gets you through it, right? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/wink1.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="wink1">
