I've been making diapers for my son for a while now and have been thinking of making some for sale. I'm not looking to make a lot of money at this I really like the sewing and it gives me a creative outlet. I don't even know if I would want to go so far as open a site of my own since I am such a computer dummy and even turbo lister stresses me out. Maybe just sell on Ebay or something similar.

I just sent one in a smaller size to my SIL for her DD and she loves it. She is my first tester I guess . I will be making her some more. I don't know any others IRL that cloth diaper. Although I have been thinking of trying some on my friends sposie diapered babies to check the fit in the dirrerent sizes. Should I just put some on Ebay and see what happens? How many testers should I have before I try to sell them? And where do I find them?

making cloth diapers IS a creative outlet
I think you can post here that you are looking for testers. Or you could start a yahoo email group for your testers. There are tons of yahoo groups about cloth diapering and many willing testers out there. I would set up in advance what feedback you would like and when.
You don't have to have a website to sell cloth diapers.
You can sell thru word of mouth in your area, thru mom's clubs, parenting classes, natural food stores, small like-minded businesses, LLL fairs, etc. I have seen alot of people start out with a free webpage about themselves, with pictures of items they sell and an email address for collecting orders and payments. But I also know running a website isn't that hard and there are lots of inexpensive and quality services out there.
Good luck to you
And beware of the fabric addiction! lol

I don't have a sewing diaper business, but am setting up an online business as a retailer of diapers and other items. I can say that it is not that difficult or exepensive to set up through waterwebshops. E-bay is a great palce to satrt though. I buy diapers there all the times and know of severl diaper and sling makers who statred or continue to sell there with success. It is a great place to test the market. And if it does well and you don't want to set up a full store, you can set up an e-bay store. Oh, and I would test for you if you decide to go ahead with this : ) Good luck!
