Someone recently told me about the Immune 26 supplement and I figured someone here has to know something about it...so that's why I'm posting. I got a brief idea of what it is by googling it but I'm still not sure what to think of it.

I'm highly skeptical about stuff like this (I assume the Merck board of directors would run over its own grandmothers twice to get ahold of something that actually works and they could patent).

The only thing I could find about it was this description: '"hyperimmune" egg is derived from both the white, and the yolk, of eggs of hens stimulated with over 26 inactivated pathogens' and that it contains protein, minerals, and "100% of more than 13 essential vitamins" (from Drugs.Com) This doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. And what pathogens are they referring to? Do they mean the hens were vaccinated? If so, I don't think the eggs of vaccinated chickens would confer any immunity to someone who ingests them. It seems purposefully vague, with the prefix "hyper" added to make the eggs sound special. I would guess you are getting an expensive vitamin pill....

In the least, I would avoid taking this if one is allergic to eggs. But, as I said, I'm skeptical. Maybe others have used it with positive results.

I personally would not take this. First, it's a MLM and I'm not a fan of most MLM marketing practices, though there are exceptions of course. Second, I fail to see how this would benefit ones immune system...According to the label, it's egg powder, so, why not just eat eggs, lol? The "hyperimmune" egg part concerns me, what are they giving the hens? Why?

If you're looking for an immune booster, elderberry and vit.c are good, IMO.

What's MLM?

Thanks for the replies. I'm not looking to take it, I just thought I'd ask because I was kinda skeptical of it when the guy was saying how awesome it was.
