cost was the number one reason we decided to cd. pampers are soooo expensive and we really don't have the money for them on a regular basis. we are using them now because i'm too sick to keep up with the cloth washing. on average though, cloth saves $1,400 a year.

tips. start out easy. the way i convinced dh (aside from the $) was by getting fuzzi bunz. they are super easy to use and worked great. they don't fit ds quite right anymore so we primarily use kissaluvs. i love to knit so i make our own wool covers.

-my grandmother taught me to knit when i was a kid.
-i've been to 13 states...it's hard to remember
:
-my bday is February 16th
: wonderful month to be born

my pets.....we have quite the zoo. dh and i have always had pets as kids so it was only natural to have some now as adults. we have 4 cats. Whopper, Small Fry, Sprite and Mango. the vet calls us the happy meal. we used to have another cat, Pickles, but we had to give her to my mom because she freaked out when ds was born. she wouldn't let me nurse him and would try to get between us. she's also eaten every pair of flip flops i own (which is a ton)
: we have 2 dogs. Toastie and Pepper. T is a yellow lab mix nad P is a black lab German Shepard mix. both were gotten from rescue sites. T was born on my birthday. she is really tiny but still looks like a lab. everyone always says "what a cute puppy" except she's almost 3. we call her our mini lab. P is still full blown puppy. she's just over a year old. she came from an abused home and we're still helping her work through her nervousness issues. thankfully we have hard wood floors so cleaning up accidents is no big deal
lastly, we have one bunny named Sugar. she's huge! i think she weighs about 16lbs. ds loves playing with her. we had another bunny but he passed away this past winter. he never liked dh and would bite all males that tried to pet him so perhaps it's better that he's moved on. i also had a beta fish which dh forgot to feed while i was in MI this past winter. when i came home he was already starting to biodegrade in his little bowl. that was no fun.

great questions!

What is your favorite part of pregnancy?

Is the third trimester really as awful as some people make it out to be? (I missed most of my third trimester because I delivered DD at 30 weeks, hence the question)

favorite part of pregnancy is the 2nd tri after all the puking has stopped. i'm good from there until about 35 weeks. this time it may be different though because i'm having a winter baby. it wasn't so much that i was uncomfy but being big when it's hot out was NO fun.

i didn't think the 3rd tri was bad. i'm really tall though and aparently "built for being pg". my neighbors didn't even notice i was pg until dh made a mention of it. i was all belly and from the back you couldn't even tell i was pg. the only bad thing about the 3rd tri was that it was so hot here when i had ds that i was miserable. having boobs stick to your belly is no fun

fave food-taco salad! that's all i can eat and keep down right now. i make it with ground turkey so it's healthier. what you do is mix the turkey, sharp cheddar cheese, tomatos, lettuce and crunched doritos together then cover it with catalina (kraft free) dressing.

least fave-anything with red meat:puke

fave alchoholic drink-cosmopolitan with grey goose vodka

we're planning a birth center birth with a mw. in my area there is only one mw so it's impossible for her to get insurance to do hb's.

i have lots of fave movies. the new Pride and Prejudice is up there, Serendipity, and Groundhog Day

fave book is the Baby Catcher by Peggy Vincent (and of course P&P)

I'm having some insomnia tonight so ... Do you have a pattern that you like to use for your wool covers? Besides knitting, what do you do in your "spare" time? What is your favorite activity to do with your ds? Can I come to your house and play with your animals, we don't have enough room to own any?

I am also looking forward to not being in the third trimester during summer!! It was miserable, and I agree that having boobs stick to your belly is no fun.

favorite guilty pleasure-it used to be reality tv shows. then we got rid of our cable.

Spud got his nickname because when he was born he was so tiny that all his clothes made him look like he was wearing potato sacks. his actual name is Isaak. he loves it when we sing the Little Potato song.

the new baby has been nicknamed LimaBean. that was all dh.

dh and i have been married almost 4 years (in November) we met in marching band while in highschool. yup, we were big dorks

to relax i like to knit or hang out online.

i use wooly wonders basic knit soaker pattern to make custom ones for ds. i also used the free tiny birds pattern. that's the one i learned first. i didn't start knitting in the round until recently (which is what WW does).

if we won the lottery we would pay off our house and such and then do the same for our families
