I woke up with a low-grade fever at 5 DPO, which lasted all day. Today is 7 DPO and I have an earache that has been getting worse and worse for the past few days. Today I have about 50% hearing in that ear, and it hurts like crazy. I'm taking tylenol for pain, but was wondering if anyone knows any anti-inflammatory that is safe for pregnancy.....I'm afraid to take Advil just in case. I'm also using ear oil (mullein, garlic, etc.) which doesn't seem to be doing a whole lot. Any other suggestions?

Sounds like you have an ear infection that could possible lead to a sinus infection. I would see a doc tomorrow. And just let them know that you are in the 2ww but since you don't share anything with the baby until weeks later the antibotics should be safe if that is what is needed.

I had a friend who point onion oil in her ear (same process as the garlic oil) and it cleared her ear infection up really quickly. As far as drugs for the inflammation, I don't know... sorry you feel so crappy

Thanks ladies. I'm hoping it will at least be getting some better by tomorrow. I've read about onion poultices and think maybe I'll try that tonight. : Really weird, I've never had an ear infection as an adult. Oh well.
