Somebody hypothesized this to me, and I was wondering if many found this to be true. From the women I've talked to it seems to be mostly true, at least with the boys, and one woman I know who birthed a daughter had zero drive for her entire pregnancy, from the moment she conceived. Anyone to prove me wrong?

I'm pregnant with a boy, and my sex drive hasn't been very high at all this entire pregnancy.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, my drive DEFINITELY increased! If that is a "sign" then I would guess that this one is a girl too b/c the drive is back.<br>
I would guess though that it is just another old wives tale... I wish there was a reliable method besides the ultrasound.. I can't wait to find out so I can either get more serious about the search for a boy name or relax.

With dd, my drive was up especially near the end of pregnancy. This time I'm pg with a boy and have ZERO interest really... but that might be because I have a toddler and I'm TIRED.

I don't know what this one is, but my sex drive is higher. I can't DO anything about it because I am so sick.<br><br>
My last was a boy and sex drive was good in late pregnancy.<br><br>
My first two were also boys and I had NO sex drive. Of course, I was married to an absolutely unsupportive moron, so why would I want it?<br><br>
However, I just think it depends less on the gender and more on how you feel, how your relationship is, if you have anxieties about the pregnancy, if your others are very young, etc...

my dh and his friends dicussed this at work, lol, and the wives with boys had a much higher sex drive.... mines been higher from pretty much the start, so dh is thinking boy

We are expecting a boy...I would say my sex drive has increased (maybe TMI - but thats how we celibrated our posative test <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">) It just sucks now because I am so huge and my hips hurt so bad we can't really do much..

I have four daughters and one son. Mine was always higher with the girls. With my son it pretty much didn't even exist.

hmmm, my sex drive was very high with my 1st DC which was a girl. My 2nd DC and current one are both boys, and it's virtually nonexistant.

A friend of mine has two girls and I have one (neither of us has had a boy). One had a hugely increased sex drive, the other non-existent. But still, both had girls.<br><br>
The old wives tale I've found more accurate to predict gender is leg hair growth - if it practically stops = girl, grows crazy fast = boy.

w/ my first son, I wanted sex constantly. W/ my dd, zilch, and last son, zilch. Now I'm pregnant w/ another boy, and my drive is back way up, BUT the Dr said "no intercourse" unless/untill my placenta previa moves! When I was pregnant with DD I had very little sex drive. Now that I'm pg with a boy, the sex drive comes and goes, but what is outrageous is the um ... <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/loveeyes.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Loveeyes">: satisfaction level!

I haven't really noticed any difference in sex drive ith a boy or a girl -- mine is very low during pregnancy no matter what sex of baby I am carrying. First was dd, low drive. Second was ds, low drive. This one is going to be a surprise, low drive.

Both of mine have been girls, and my drive was waaay high with the first one. With this one, it's not so much.
