how do her toddler compare to chinese toddler in size? I know the premiums are a little shorter than their chinese counterparts, hopefully the toddler are too

The Indian is about an inch and a half (to two inches) shorter than the Chinese. It's the same width though.

ah, perfect! Are they as soft and lovely as the premium indian? The auction says that the unbleached chinese is softest-but I find it hard to believe that they are softer than the indian??
If I'm being honest I don't find it soft or lovely.. I find it smooth, no pills but not soft. I had a premium Indian and had the same experience so maybe it's my water or something?

That sounds like a european prefold. My Indian prefolds are so soft and fluffy it's like you want to just pet them! I passed one around at a recent LLL meeting and the mamas were ooohing and ahhhing over them.

Do you have hard water?

I think I do have hard water actually. And it's definitely Indian. I've had two from different websites both saying they are Indian (again one being Granitesmith) and the same experience with both. Darn water! :LOL
I got my IPFs from the Montana Diaper Store She will prewash them for you for a bit extra, and we have community coin-op laundry in our building so it was a better deal for me. She also had really wonderful customer service. And they are SO soft!
We have infant sized indian prefolds that we use to lay babe's head on while we nurse in bed, to absorb milk that dribbles out of his mouth (and nose!) and the sweat his head creates....why his head and body pours sweat when he eats is beyond me, but it's always been that way and every time!

So yeah, ours are really soft and we got them from granitesmith and have hard water too!
