This workshop is for midwives, consumers and other activists who are interested in lobbying for legislation to license Certified Professional Midwives in Indiana. Ida will present an overview of the legislative process and lobbying strategies, including writing fact sheets, giving interviews, making the best use of the 15-minute or 2-minute opportunities for speaking with legislators, giving testimony at public hearings and legislative committee sessions, and answering tough questions spontaneously.

Babes in arms are welcome - A childcare room is available. Box lunches will be available

Questions, contact Jennifer Williams, 812-825-3158, [email protected]
