My big toe is really sore and red along the edge. I think that it's from wearing continuous clogs for the last several weeks because I'm breaking a pair in that is pretty pinchy on that toe. I finally got a good look at it the other day and saw some pus -ewwwww! It's been feeling pretty tight and it hurts really bad to walk. I cleaned it with some hydrogen peroxide and started soaking it in epson salts last night to which I'm going to add some TTO tonight. Does anyone have any suggestions to things I could use?

My son had something like that a couple months ago. We soaked it for 1/2 hour in a strong epsom salt sol'n. Did that 2 nights. 3rd day, he went swimming in a salt water pool. 100% cured <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin"><br><br>
The 2 days of epsom salt really got rid of the pus--it was nasty.<br><br>
You could also look into goldenseal powder for the pus. Very strong, though.

Sounds to me like you are already taking the steps you need to take, mama. (Literally and figuratively. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/wink1.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="wink1">) Perhaps soak with the epsom salt twice a day?
