I bought a new pair of light khaki capris... wore them once and then younger ds thought it would be a good idea to draw on them. So, there are 3 or 4 black pen marks down one leg. How do you remove ink? Rubbing alcohol? Thanks.

I've removed ink from all kinds of fabrics - including beige-colored satin - with Lava soap and a soft toothbrush. I just make a paste of Lava & cold water and gently rub it in with the toothbrush, rinsing w/cold water and repeating the process until the stain is gone.

I accidentally discovered that Lava is a GREAT stain pre-treater when my last baby had a poop explosion all over her white bloomers. I was rinsing them in the sink and decided to try rubbing some Lava on them - and it got all traces of the stain out. I've even been able to remove some old "set" stains with the stuff, and it has never damaged anything. Now I never use anything else!

Try the rubbing alchohol. I got a whole bunch off my couch with this. Use an eye dropper to put small amounts on and then a white wash rag/towel or paper towel to soak it up. Repeat until it's all gone. Use only a little at a time so it doesn't dissolve and run.

You can get Lava at just about any discount or grocery store. It'll be w/the bar soaps and comes in a bright red wrapper...you can't miss it.

BTW, It's also good for cleaning really grimy hands!
