I'm trying to convince DH he doesn't need antibiotics for his ear infection. He's had it for about 3-4 wks.
first he saw his general practitioner, who squirted water in and got tons of wax out (very dark wax). then he prescribed amoxicillin for 10 days, which DH completed with no improvement.
Now, a week later, the infection is even worse, so today he went to an ENT, who prescibed TWO antibiotics (drops and pills) he said there was so much buildup he couldn't see, but felt it was a inner ear infection. he described the buildup as "granules".
DH had an infection like this a couple of years ago, both times it happened after swimming underwater. what else can he do besides antibiotics?
