I would ask them why it is taking so long to do further tests. s good luck Cerr!

And woohoo on getting the meds prescribed that you need, I hate when ins co give people a hard time.

My dr keeps getting the sample people to get her some extra and they put me aside a bag ..
She agrees w/me that reducing my mobility to bedridden "interferes with my quality of life" ( can you hear the sarcasm as I quote part of their appeal process ??? LOL)

I would make them to do it NOW.

At first they told my aunt her lump was from a cat scratch then made her wait a few months to test her....well long story short, she died March 14 of this year after a short battle with cancer. 46 years old. Dont know if it would have made a difference if they caught it earlier but you never know. Cancer is not something to mess around with. Dont even get me started on how cancer is big business in the US........ugh!

I dont know how close you are to Mexico/CA border but they have a Hoxsey clinic right over the border (cause the US pushed Hoxsey out years ago because they cure cancer naturally and they think they practice "quackery") but when you go there you get all the tests needed within one day.

RE: Hoxsey

He was the focus of the video, "Quacks who cure cancer" from 1986 which was on HBO and Cinemax.

The Hoxsey treatment is featured in the Smithsonian Institute as one of America's greatest quack remedies.

The story is very interesting. He had seventeen clinics across the U.S. in the 1930's and 1940's. Everytime the FDA and AMA sent someone out to investigate him, they were proved wrong; the most famous undercover agent was a registered nurse took her mother to him - her mother was abandoned by the AMA as terminal. Hoxsey's treatment cured her! She lived many more years into her nineties.

This same woman who went out ot investigate him and whose mother was saved by the Hoxsey treatment became his assistant and helped set up his clinic in 1963 in Tijuana, Mexico. She was still there in the 1980's.

The elixier itself is made from red clover and burdock. He developed his elixier from a recipe his grandfather gave him on his death bed. His grandfather developed it when he had taken an old horse and put it out to pasture. The horse got better. The doctor examined the grasses the horse had grazed on, mostly red clover and burdock, and developed his medicine.

Sadly, Dr. Hoxsey himself died of prostate cancer.

The treatment is available from Native Essence Herb Company in Taos, NM 87571.

I acquired some for my DH, but it contains some grain alcohol which is a no-no if you are taking morphine.

Thank you DesireeH

Its also a strict diet in addition to the tonic. The diet alone (and lots of supplements too) got rid of a bunch of tumors I had on my legs within 2 weeks of starting it. (If anyone is interested in the diet you can PM me.)

My aunt went to Hoxsey, but only as a last resort. I think she was too ruined by chemo and radiation (I also think she had the sv 40 cancer) by the time she got there. She did say she felt better on Hoxsey and they at least gave her hope which they wouldnt do here.

We do a know woman though who was cured and that was 17 years ago and she is still fine.

though I am a looong way from the Mexico/CA border I am about 12 hrs from the TX/Mexico border depending on which part *G*
the wait is because he is the only one on the HMO block that can be used in other words the HMO block has ONE colo/rectal doc. And I can't afford the out of pocket to see someone else ( not to mention it would be more than the two month wait I had to see this guy)
I am going to go see my PCP though. There are several things about him I didn't like-the more I thought about it the more I don't....

the red flags bothered me and I have cancelled this test. I am seeing my PCP tomorrow and asking for another referral -which of course will mean at least another month to six weeks of just being seen. And perhaps another six weeks after that of actually getting the test. But oh well.
The dr has got to go -we are incompatible as dr patient. I refuse to be treated by someone who doesn't listen to what I say and who walks off mid talk to talk to a tech without so much as by your leave
and two other red flags he told me it was MY decision to have the test or not
then turned around and scheduled it!
and he told me how great my pcp and two specialists were and really bragged and built them up ( umm hello I HATE drs so if I think they are good there must be something to them for me to still be with them so why the push??)
