What can I do, instead of sleep, so I don't die of fatigue?

Cause sleep isn't happening with a newborn and 2 other kids!

All I could think of is cleansing breaths as much as possible. Man, I need a yogi to live with me and remind me all the time.

What else can I do to rest/replenish?

I've started downing Rockstar Juiced energy drinks...they don't get me high or buzzed, but I can go a lot longer!

I guess if sleep is out, exercise probably is too?

Sometimes I can get someone to take my dd for a little time in the afternoon - not enough time for a nap, but plenty of time for a good hard walk or run. I feel much better after a walk or run than after a nap anyway.

A few minutes of fresh air?
Caffeine?

When I'm bound to the house, I'll crack a window to get fresh air, crank some upbeat music and dance around like a fool. It gets the blood flowing

One thing that makes fatigue worse for me is being on the computer too much. It strains my brain after a while. This is a big problem at work. I'm on the computer pretty much all day (either working or um researching online). I'll force myself to take a break once in a while to walk around the building, inside or out. So kinda like the above but with less foolery

Is it cold outside? A brisk walk with the kids would do it for me.

One thing that helped me was remembering to eat and stay hydrated.

When I'm really tired, I try to drink a glass of ice water to see if it helps me feel better before I head for a caffinated beverage.

It's so hard when you can't get enough sleep. I'm preggo with #3 right now and I dreading those sleep deprived days to come. My kids are 5 & 3 and have been good sleepers for a while, so I've gotten used to sleeping again, but it was so tough when they were both under 2!

Not that I'm sleeping that great now, either. But that early baby phase is such a killer. Naps, if possible.
