Excellent information. Does anyone else have reliable sources of natural ways to alleviate (sp?) depression symptoms?

That's great info! I didn't see the mention about magnesium deficiency though which is often a cause of depression. I thought it was interesting that they listed vit D deficiency as a cause of depression. I know it can cause debilitating aches and pains as well as brain fog but I never thought about depression. I take 50,000IU week due to deficiency and I have to cycle on and off do to the levels (about 4 weeks on and 3-4 weeks off while levels drop) and I know its time to go back on when I hurt so bad I can't move, usually I don't realize the problem until I've been in misery for a day but I'm going to make a note that the next time I cycle off it to watch for depression (I'm prone to major depression) and see if the low D is a trigger for me. I woke up in major pain today and realized its time to take the D again and I am feeling a bit low this morning but I think that's more the stress of the math test I have today and the nurse not being able to take dd (both kids are bugging me about every 30 seconds even though I keep giving them stuff to do) so I can study so I'm pretty sure I'm going to fail the test which means I'm going to fail the class (I'm already failing but as long as I get a C on the test and the next I have a chance at passing the class) anyway, that was totally OT but I will watch for the depression next time<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">
