Interest in a Southern Cali diaper party

THe other thread got me and I want a So cali diaper party before I move so lets see whos all interested. I can have it at my house, I have the room for it but we live on Edwards AFB just north of Lancaster and I would have to sponser all you on base and its a little out of the way. There is also the Burbank zoo. Anyway any ideas on where and when to have it and who would be interested lets post here.

a So Cal diaper party! But I think Lancaster would be too far for us. Josh does not travel well

Maybe something in Orange County would work. It's in the middle and that way both LA and San Diego mamas could go to it! I'm in OC, and I would offer up my house, but it's not child proofed yet (we're working on it!). But I think it's a GREAT idea and sounds like fun

I'm game! I'm in Long Beach ... any of it is pretty easy for me to get to. So, where and when?

Would it be best at someone's house, or in a public place? I would

to have everyone at my house, but I don't know if I can get it child proofed in time. A public place like Disneyland would be fun or at a park like Irvine Regional Park they have 3 playgrounds, train rides, pony rides, a pond to feed ducks at, or at a beach. Just thinking out loud

It would have to be some where that dont cost to much to get into... i would prefer someones house.... as i really want to visit and not chase around my 2 yr old....

I'm in San Diego and have a great "party" house. I agree that OC would be a better half way point, but if nobody in that area has a spot and you all want to come south, our doors are open!

We're on vacation mid July to beginning of Aug, so the date would have to work out.

Oooh!! Me too!!!! I remember we tried to do this late last year and it never got off the ground. There are A LOT of mama's in SC!!! OC is good for me... but I agree, we should do it at someone's house or something like that where the kids can be supervised and we can all ooh and aaah over our fluff!!!

If you wanted to do it in San Diego, I could have it at my house and I could get my niece to come over and help watch the kiddoes (she's 15) and I'm sure DH would help out, too. BUT, I know SD is a bit of a hump for those of you in LA, so, OC would probably be better.

Oh and we had a yahoo group for us to try and coordinate... let me go see if I can find it...

We could use that group to figure out the details so we don't use up MDC bandwidth for that post... and then once we decide on something, we can post to the board

I am totally in!!!! I wish we could go someplace like the zoo, but honestly...a home would work best for us too! We are in Santa Clarita (near magic mountain). If everyone decided OC then we will make the drive. This is soo exciting!!

Can't wait!

We are going on the cali camping trip too! I feel like we are bonding with cali MDC mamas - yeah!
