I went in for a visit (not planned) because I thought I might have a UTI or other infection and when she was checking the h/b she felt by belly for the uterus and asked me if I was sure of my dates. We've talked about this before ... about 3 weeks ago I asked her if I felt big and she said yes, because it is my 4th. This time she seemed perplexed and she said she thought it could be twins. She started to try to find another h/b with the doppler and then asked the tech to do a quick u/s (I go to a midwife/OB group). So, I got to see my baby again, which I was thrilled about because I was also thinking it could be twins. Baby is looks great -- very healthy ... measuring a week ahead (which is what I figured ... my dates are completely messed up but I'm sticking with when I know I o'd even though LMP puts me 2 weeks ahead and first u/s puts me several days behind. So, baby measured 14 weeks exactly. They said my uterus was growing upward faster than width wise (which I've never heard before). So it was making my fundus higher. I also found out my placenta is in the back, which was nice to know. Just wanted to share about my good appt. Anyone else ever measured big and just had one? Midwife said I feel about 4 weeks ahead of my dates.

I measured kind of big with my first. I was 2-3 inches bigger than my dates from 20 weeks on, and my 18 week ultrasound had baby measuring a week or so ahead. He was born 4 days "early" at 8 lbs even.

This pregnancy looks like it will be similar. I was 2 inches ahead at my 14 week appointment, and when we had my ultrasound on Friday, baby was measuring a bit ahead as well. I think I just grow them quick

I always grow up instead of out in the beginning, it all levels out by around 20 weeks. I noticed I'm starting to fill out width wise now (I'm 17 weeks today) and slowing down the growth upward.

At my NT Scan I was measuring about a week ahead. Doctor was convinced that my date was wrong by a week but I am sure it nots. My last pregnancy I measured big too. My son was born 8 days early at over 8 lbs so I am sure this is just another big baby. Hopefully not huge like my husband was. He was 10lbs and 24 inches so I guess its a possibility.

I measured big with my second and also am measuring big with this one. It evens out for me around 24 weeks. I had a u/s with my second because the midwife thought I could have twins. I'm 18 weeks and my fundus is above my belly button.
