Please direct me to the right place, if there is a thread about this already!

DH & I are interviewing a doula next week, and I'd like to know what the best things are to ask... or if it should be just a get to know you type of thing?

This doula comes at the recommendation of a friend whose natural living & parenting I respect... so this person isn't completely out of the blue... but I'd like to be prepared.

What do you like your clients to ask? What do you ask your clients?

Here is DONA International's 10 questions to ask a doula. But really, experienced doulas are pretty used to people not knowing exactly which questions to ask so we are used to giving information that will be helpful to you in your decision without direct questions. Good luck!

I'd want to know how the doula feels about whatever type of birth you are aiming for. Also, back up, fees, and how often you will meet with her. What type of services she offers too. The most important thing, imo, is that you click though. Do you feel comfortable with her? Is she warm? How do you feel after your initial meeting? Trust your instincts.
