I picked him up on Tuesday in Cleveland, we flew to Chicago O'Hare and missed our connect- spent the night in a hotel with nothing but the Sherpa bag and some dog food (no toothbrush or clean clothes for me, yikes!), rode in 3 cabs and wound up making it home yesterday afternoon. We met so many people during the trip, and they all kept saying that Bodhi should be the new American Airlines mascot The airport employees, passengers, hotel guests, fellow travelers and hotel employees all fell in love with him. He was an absolute dream- cried once or twice on the plane, and spent most of his time in the Sherpa with his head hanging out- one of the flight attendents on our flight from O'Hare to Albuquerque told me that she didn't even know he was on the plane until we walked by her on our way out! He does have some stress Colitis, but it's improving, so everything should be fine. Had a few nasty diarrhea accidents in the hotel room- good thing they had hardwood floors!! My kids are in love with him, our cats (that love our adult Rottie) are scared of him, and my Rottie isn't sure what he thinks yet So many people told me that he is way cuter than any other EM they've ever seen, because he's so fuzzy Here he is at 7 weeks, 4 days. The last one is with my 4yo dd

http://img5.ranchoweb.com/images/bal...bodhi7w4d1.jpg
http://img5.ranchoweb.com/images/bal...bodhi7w4d2.jpg
http://img5.ranchoweb.com/images/bal...bodhi7w4d4.jpg
http://img5.ranchoweb.com/images/bal...bodhi7w4d5.jpg

Sooooo cute. I've lost my mind and I'm talking in a ridiculous baby voice at your puppy's pictures. Congratulations!

actually, he's what's called a "Fluffy" (yes, that's the technical name ) Mastiff- his parents both have a recessive gene for longer hair than the normal short coat- when you get 2 carriers paired together, approx. 1/2 of the litter will be longer haired, or "Fluffy". He's not considered show quality, because of the hair (although, there are many Mastiffs that have finished their championships that are Fluffy, they were just clipped for shows ) but I prefer the longer fluffy look. Here's a site where you can see adult Fluffies, in case anyone is interested. There are also pics of other "Fluffy" variations of several breeds- very interesting info if you're interested in genetics, etc. www.fluffymastiff.com

Yay! Bodhi is home! He is ridiculously cute! I'm loving his fluff. I'm relieved to see that a pup of that size could ride in the cabin with you. We just got our soft carrier for Aengus in the mail (like a Sherpa, but Sherpa brand was a hair too tall for our airline). It seems small, but I think he'll be cozy and fit just fine.

Sounds like it was quite the harrowing journey, but he's home!

Your dd is also adorable, btw.

Just a week from Sunday until Aengus flies home with dh.
