Introducing myself

Hi! I'm new here and just posted in the Find Your Tribe thread. DH and I are high school sweethearts and have been married for 3 yrs. We will start TTC in June. As practicing Catholics we have been using NFP since right after we got married so we're hoping that it won't take long to get this baby made. I'm still researching and investigating but can say that we are interested in co-sleeping, breastfeeding and babywearing right now. DH absolutely refuses to use the birthing center (and will not discuss homebirth!) but I have a really really great OB/GYN and feel like I'll be able to be myself and not a cog in the machine. Our hospital also has doulas available, which I plan to take advantage of. I would say that I'm probably somewhere in between mainstream and crunchy right now - I really can't say how we feel on so many things because we just don't know. I have a day job and run a modern dance company, so I'm interested in hearing about mamas that combine art and family with paying the bills.

I'm really excited to be part of MDC - thanks for reading my intro post!

but do keep in mnd that even the best Ob's and Hospitals can still treat you like a cog in a machine

I know mine did,
Why dont you check out the Birth and Beyond forums and see what kind of info you can find there

I also strongly recommend SHelia Kitzinger's Homebirth Book
It changed my whole thinking about birth and changed my life too

Hello and

to MDC. It is a great place.

While you are TTC please come to the

Vaccine Forum at least to find out which vaccines are grown on induced abortion fetuses. I feel everyone has a right to know at least that much about vaccines and the dirty business they are. (Not my words - paraphrasing a quote from Mahatma Gandhi.)

I usually don't. Generally I am a sweet, laid back grandma.

Just ask my three unvaccinated, intact, vegetarian, organically grown and fed grandsons.
