Hey all. I just found out yesterday that we're having twins-- I'm about 11 weeks along now, and the babies are due in late February or early March. I have one child already; my DD will be 2 in two weeks. I'm still really in shock-- I never, ever expected this. There are no multiples in my family, I'm still pretty young, and we didn't use any infertility drugs or anything like that. I'm thrilled and happy, yes, but I'm also freaked out and afraid. We're not in a solid financial position right now, and that worries me, plus all the usual worries you'd have with a two year old and two babies on the way.

Anyway, I wanted to introduce myself since I've been lurking around this forum all day-- I couldn't really sleep last night-- and I'll probaby be hanging around a lot more.

Welcome to the multiples board!! Congrats on the twins!

I have 7 wk old twins and I found this board to be extremely useful during my pregnancy (and still now). The mamas here are super sweet and eager to share their stories and knowledge. I'm sure you will love it here.

Again, congrats! Time to sit back and let it all sink in (then start asking the million and one questions you have!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I have two boys and 3 yr old twin girls. Twins are so much fun and double the blessings. These mamas are willing and ready to give you any advice that you need or want. This is an exciting time and hope your pregnancy goes very well. I probably will be checking back to see how things are progressing. Until then,
Be Blessed

Congrats! I know how crazy things can be when you first find out. I remeber that day vividly. As to the money situation.... I also know how you feel. My boyfriend and I were definately NOT trying to have kids and ended up with twins! We are both still in school and money is very tight. There are lots of things you can do to try and cut down on costs. We use a budget (although we stink at following it), cook meals at home, try not to drive more than you have to, take the kids for walks instead of paying for entertainment....
I always love talking to new twin moms, especially those who are younger.

Congrats and welcome! You found out relatively early in your pregnancy, so you'll have time to get used to the idea and prepare.
It is definately a shock at first, no matter when you find out.

Eat protein, drink lots of water and keep your babies cookin' as long as possible.
