My ds was born in December and I used a KKAFP, but now the fleece is too hot. I have a thyroid condition which makes me VERY hot all the time. The pics look like a Mei Tai has the least amount of fabric covering me.......is this true? I can't find a web site that shows me how you get the baby in it. Do you have any web sites I can see that on?

Any other suggestions besides a Mei Tai that might be cooler for me?

A cool option is an Ellaroo wraparound. I use mine here in the Texas heat. But I should say that I am finding that anything that presses a 98.6 degree body against mine can't be completely cool. What about a cotton pouch?

www.kozycarrier.com has great wearing instructions for a MT. You might also check out the blanket-free MT that Nine Acres is doing (I don't have a link but if you go to www.thebabywearer.com you can find it). A solarveil MT, pouch, or sling might also work as solarveil allows breezes through.

But in any of these you're going to be wearing your baby right next to you, so there's always the heat of his little body to contend with.

Yes, most MTs have long enough straps to fit a wide range of sizes. Another option with even less fabric would be an Onbuhimo, like the one at peppermint.com or Freehand. I also really like the gauze wraps like at gypsymama.com for hot weather.
