Here is a link to their canned cat food:

http://www.nlpp.com/products.html?topic=cannedcat

They also carry dog foods.

They sell this at Wal Mart for just 70c a can...this is a remarkable price as I pay 1.60 for the small can of Nature's Variety.

I am kind of shocked Wal Mart is selling this and it's so affordable, and seems to contain REAL ingredients. There is some rice, but no corn or other grains.

Thoughts?

I really like Natural Life Dog food. I fed it to my dog for the first few years of her life. Everyone always commented on how beautiful her coat was. It was always so glossy. I actually use to work in a health food store for years and ordered it. I love the ingredients. I can't believe Walmart is carrying it, and at such a good price. I think you will be happy with it. I would still be getting it for my dog but it is unavailable in my community.

Glad to hear about your positive experience.

For better or worse Wal Mart has made a huge commitment to carrying organic and natural products, and said they will hold the price at just 10% over the cost of non-organic products. That has caused a huge controversy, but anyway.

I saw the Natural Life and thought it must be some weird off brand, but their website looked great and the ingredients are high quality. For that price it is extremely affordable to supplement with the Natures Variety, which I consider the highest quality canned available (no grains at all).

They have the dry food too, but I am switching to a grain free kibble for supplementation--the cats like a little for crunching and cleaning teeth.

70c a can is just so reasonable for that quality. I use one can a day (which feeds two cats with some kibble as a snack). For convenience and travel, I plan to stock up. I like to feed them homemade, but this is such a deal!
