I think I've found the perfect stash for us - Very Baby AIOs, GMAR and some hyena wool covers. But now, after I convert my stash to this, all the excitement will be over! No more poking around on the TP or going to different diaper sites and imagining what to buy next. No more shopping at all until the diapers are outgrown! The fun and excitement will be over.

Can anyone else relate?

Yes. But it's not a secret around here.
Dh and MIL keep saying ds will potty-train soon (umm, he's 14 months and doesn't fuss when he's wet). I vehemently say no. Diapers can be a pain, but *I'm* not done yet.

I also haven't 'finalized' our stash yet... I'm still debating selling off my SP1's to help fund a mini VB AIO stash for lazy days, dh, MIL, and FIL if he decides to change a diaper this decade.

Hmmm, actually, I feel done shopping and it feels pretty good. I could have definitely related to your post completely about 6 mos ago, but somehow something has changed since then. I just don't feel like shopping for dipes anymore. I have new hobbies and actually plan on trying to clear out a large portion of our stash after the new year to fund these new hobbies. Maybe your baby will grow fast and you'll get to do a bunch of shopping then.

I understand! I'm finding that prefolds are my favorite and am making the switch primarily to those (trying prefitteds soon!), but I still cruise the TP and Hyena Cart (dreaming here!). I think it's mostly habit, though....

I don't think I'll ever be done shopping. Even if I do manage to find the perfect stash, which for us would be all KHW for my older dd and a combo of the perfect dipe I have managed to make for dd2 and Kissaluvs. Well, since I'll never manage to get a complete stash of KHW dipes, I just keep poking around.

I've had this thought before too, but then whenever I get the "perfect" stash figured out in my head and I start acquiring it, something always changes. Her shape and size change, my preferences change, the clothes she's wearing change (affecting trimness needed), etc. So I've decided that there may not really ever be a "done"--until PLing, that is. That thought does make me sad, and leads to my next secret thought: secretly desiring another baby even though I swore for 9 months that we were done! LOL.

especially since my son is almost 2.

I HAD the perfect stash, but was on the lookout for wool pants and covers. Of course, a bunch of it is now gone so here I am rebuilding.

I love cloth dipes too much! We use mostly prefolds but have some fitteds. I've just sewn a bunch of flat folds just so I could try them out. When I was done I sat in front of the tv and practiced folding them over and over! Dh thinks I'm crazy! My real obsession is covers though. I love them. Especially wool ones. I was walking on air the other day when I found 5 pairs of brand new cotton Nikky's in Value Village for $2 each! My dh just laughed. Like I said, he thinks I'm nutty! :LOL

As long as there are cheap medium pockets on the tp my stash will never be done...lol. I aspire to not have to wash as often and to find super deals.

I'm pretty much done buying diapers, although I will add a few here and there but I've found the ones that work best for us. But now I am having so much fun finding wool for our stash. Wool is my serious weakness, at some point I'm sure I'll have more wool than fitteds to go under them :LOL

I felt done for a couple of months. But now dh is saying to sell some HH & get some more Angelwraps so I think I must agree and shop a bit again, lol. I'm not shopping for new things though, just stuff we already use, so it's not the same as shopping for things that are unknown...
