Originally she was only accepting money to buy expressed breastmilk from a donor milk bank, but now she's asking for donated milk. I hope someone can help her out--I can't imagine being in a situation where I would have no choice but to feed my baby formula.

She is willing to pay for all of the shipping and supplies, all she asks of us is for our boobs

I wish I could, but I don't have enough extra from my own baby. I'm pumping just slightly over her intake. There is no room for slack if she goes through a growth spurt.

I remember reading Jenn's story many months ago. I'll have to see if I could swing pumping once/day for her. I haven't pumped since ds was a month or two old so not sure how much I would get with the pump.

I'd love to help... lol but I'm 36 weeks pg with my first and only producing colostrum (which I would gladly express and donate if anyone needed it!). Maybe after Kairi is here and we've gotten the breastfeeding thing down pat I'll be able to donate!

Oh my gosh I so want to help this woman but I can barely pump enough milk for my own babe when I am gone at work. I am going to try to pump more often and bump my supply and hopefully get some extra milk for her.

How awesome. I just emailed her -- hopefully she can use previously frozen milk. She is really amazing.

I contacted Jenn, and she is going to come check this thread out. I just wish I was breastfeeding so I could donate! I haven't had any babies yet though...

Hey!

I finally found this thread and I can say that you all so much for being supportive! I was on another site (I'll decline to say which one) and was pretty much ROASTED for posting that I needed milk!!! How nuts is that?!?!?!

Grayson officially has 3 bottles of bm left. I am going to my weekly Mom's group tomorrow and will HOPEFULLY be picking up some more milk - but it will most likeky be one or two days worth. I was contacted by one of my previous donor Mom's today and she's going to be sending some my way - hopefully it was shipped today and will get here tomorrow. All I know is I'm in a blind panic trying to find milk for Grayson!!!

So - any of you that are willing to donate just shoot me an e-mail to [email protected] and I'll sign you up to my yahoogroup that I started called Tadpole's Angels. Make sure you request through the e-mail and not through the group. I have a lot of sketchy sounding e-mail addresses trying to SPAM their way into the group which I don't want!!!

Just a brief synopsis of what I need before I can accept your milk:

The results of your tests to HIV 1 & 2, Syphilis, Hepatitis B & C and HTLV I & II. If you don't have the HTLV that is ok - but the others are necessary. I also have a donor screening form and health questionnaire that need to be filled out. After that we'll arrange shipment and Grayson can keep drinking liquid gold!

Thank you again and sweet dreams....

Jenn & Grayson

PS - for the woman that said she's only pumping colostrum I'm pregnant again and due in December so colostrum pumped now would be good when Little Bug (as I like to call him/her) is born!

Jenn- I'm not sure that I was tested for anything but HIV during pregnancy. Are those other tests standard procedure for pregnancy? Funny, I don't know what all they ran- they just stuck me and blood spurted.

I don't use any of the OBs I saw during my pregnancy with dd or the first part of my pregnancy with ds, but I'm sure I could probably get records if those tests were run and if they return my calls.

Busy -

It is my understanding that those other tests are routine. I was tested for them with Grayson and I'll find out if I'll be tested again with Little Bug. My appointment is at 9:45 am! So that means I should get to sleep!

G'night!

Oh, I wish I had heard about this a while back. I just tosses about 75 bags of milk because they went rotten. I had a poor latcher who I pumped for and had tooooo much milk. I tried giving it away locally and I should have turned to MDC. I do have lots more in the freezer but suspect it is bad now too. I will thaw the most recent pumpage- about 4 weeks old and see if it is still good. I know by regualr standards it should be, but I was surprised to find that it was going bad quicker than I expected.
