Hi Mamas,

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and I think the baby has completely changed her position My stomach is a completley different shape today! She was in a breech position as of last week (had a level 2 ultrasound due to her heart having a slight defect- however, it doesn't look like it's a big probelm- knock on wood). Anyway, I woke up today and looked down at my tummy and it looks a lot higher and spread out sideways instead of a little basketball like it was before. (I'm very thin so my pregnant tummy always sticks out) I have also had cramping all day long and sharp pains on the sides (from stretching I'm guessing). I think the little sweetheart decided she's rather lay sideways

she's all happy in the enormous amount of space she's got in your tummy, sounds like. she'll do a few more summersaults and flips and turns before she settles into her final position (hopefully head down...). so enjoy the tummy show. i always love watching my tummy move gee, i'll miss it!

Yep, beg she decided to try a "new" position. Isn't it the wildest thing to see your tummy move and know it's not you causing it. Especially when that elbow decides to move from one side to the other...

My baby was sideways from about 20 weeks all the way up to 36w4d. Then he turned down and was born normally three days later (37w0d). I was starting to get nervous about a c-section those last couple weeks but it all turned out fine. It was actually much more comfortable carrying him sideways than it was once he turned down.
