Carter has nursed before every suppliment today. He's had good sucking and I've heard good swallows and gurgles. He had a good session last night to. He's been spitting up, but it's different. He does'nt want to eat as much and he's spitting up acidic, curdled stuff. All his formula spit ups have been straight formula, but now it looks to be partially digested. He ate at 11:30 this morning and it's now 3:30, he nursed on my one side and then stopped. Does'nt want anything else, but I know he only took in a little. Then he had another one of these spit ups and does'nt want to nurse anymore. He's not screaming, he just licks his chops and turns away. Any thoughts. Could he be coming down with something, or is my milk not agreeing with him? Could his tummy be adjusting to my milk? I'm not eating alot of dairy. I only had a little milk in my coffee this morning, and I only had 1 cup. I had a spicy lunch today, which was left overs from last nights dinner.

Thanks.

Hi cjr...I was looking for a new thread!

I am not sure what could be upsetting his tummy, but try to keep your diet pretty mellow for a while maybe. I did not drink any coffee until dd was 6 months old, perhaps its the coffee.

You could always offer a bit of infant probiotics powder on your nipple when you nurse or tuck a little on the inside of his cheek. This will help to establish healthy flora in the intestines lessening tummy upsets. Udo Erasmus makes a great Infant blend probiotic powder, make sure its refridgerated when you get it and keep it refridgerated once its home.

Hope this helps...one last thing I thought of....perhaps its the formula upsetting his tummy...now that he is getting lots of booby milk. Just a thought.
