Ok, this might be TMI but I'm laying it out for everyone. Last night I started to have rectal bleeding. Earlier that afternoon I had one bought of seriously explosive diarrhea. I didn't notice any blood, though. Soon after that I had another about of diarrhea but not nearly as explosive. I thought I saw some blood at that point on the tp but figured maybe I was just irritated from the diarrhea. From that point on, every time I felt the urge to go to the bathroom, I got nothing but blood. It's kind of clotty looking mixed with some clear mucous. I almost feel like something is blocking me from going to the bathroom. Does this sound like hemorrhoids? I've never had them before.

Any information would be appreciated. Thank you!

Some foodborne illnesses can cause bloody diarrhea. Make sure you stay hydrated. Doesnt' sound like hemorrhoids to me if there is that much blood and you are having diarrhea. If it gets worse or doesn't stop you should consider going to the dr.

That does not sound like hemorrhoids to me. I would encourage you to contact your health care provider ASAP.

It could be a food borne illness, diverticulitis, colitis, or indeed a hemorrhoid.
But any rectal bleeding, especially the amount you specify, should be evaluated by a doctor.
