It's perfectly fine although you may or may not want to. Depending on how they were propagated, they may have different strains of yeasts and bacteria. My first set of milk kefir grains brewed very yeasty kefir, and my second set brew a much smoother kefir, so I never did combine the two and instead gave my first set and all offspring away.

Thanks, I'll try them out separately for a while and see which I like better.

However, if both could have different strains of bacteria, wouldn't it be good to mix them for max. bacteria benefit? I wish I had some sort of bacteria testing machine!
