to give DD breast milk with blood in it?

Let me back up and explain....last week I was pumping and noticed that my milk looked kinda pink....then realized it's because my nipple was bleeding! So I stopped pumping at that point and decided to throw that milk out since I wasn't sure. Luckily it was less than an ounce, cause I HATE to waste any. The bleeding stopped and I was able to continue pumping without further incident. Then it occurred to me that if DD was BF and my nip was bleeding, she would ingest some blood and I'd probably never know it.

Hopefully, I can keep my nips healthy and that won't happen again, but if it does, what would you do?

It's ok, like you said babe would drink it without you knowing if it weren't pumped. But since it's such a small amount it wouldn't be that big a waste to dump it, it would be kinda weird feeding blood...vampire baby...
