I'm only 17 weeks but I have the urge to play the name game!!!! We are probably going to use the same first name we picked out for a girl years ago but I'm thinking about changing the middle name. I know we have a while to go but I'm in the mood to look at baby names.

LOL, we already have top 5 lists for each gender - first AND middle names. I am 16 weeks, so I think that 17 weeks is a perfect time to pull out the name book!

I really could've waited a while to think about names. We're finding out the gender at the 20wk ultrasound, so I painstakingly and lovingly came up with 5 names that won't factor in at all. Oh well, it was lots of fun!! :)

i'm only 13 weeks and i've already scoured the name book for a boys name... unsuccessfully! i go through spurts where i'm obsessed with picking out names. i have two girls names that i love and DH likes them too but with boys i draw a blank. i've given up for now. i think i'll wait to see if we're having a boy before i start stressing about names!

PA I am right there with you...I have two girl names but when it comes to boys...we have no idea. We can't seem to agree or like anything that comes to mind.

I've been scouring name lists almost since I found out! We started out with a couple of possibilities that we "liked", but we ended up finding different ones that we love. I think we might keep them a secret till the end just for fun. Never done that before.

My theory is that it's never too early. It might take a while for you all to decide on (or even warm up to) a name that's fitting for the LO. In fact, our girl name is one we had unchanged for 8 years. We are waiting on boy's names as we have a hunch this one is a girl, and boys names are so hard to pick out for us, lol.

Once we learn the sex in January we'll decide how to act. If a girl, we go with the saved name. If boy, we get to work :p

We (well, more me than DH) were thinking about baby names at least a year ago, long before even TTC again :lol I have had a feeling from the start that we are getting boy #3, and it's hard to come up with boy names when we have already used two favorites, so we got an early start!

I've already got my first and second names picked out. We do two middle names in my family. A site that I found that I love for this lets you scour names based on the number of syllables. So if you have a lyrical bent like I do, you can pick out a name that 'sounds' nice in between your first and last name or whatnot.

Our names are picked and I'll be 14 weeks tomorrow! There's a chance that middle names could change but probably won't - first names are pretty set in stone, at least as of now. I won't say 100%, but we definitely have a boy name and girl name picked out. I'm sure the girl first name will stay no matter what, but I really love all the names we've picked.

I usually love discussing names and it will even start preconception, so I don't ever think it's too early!

We bought two books over the weekend - we are 100% on a first name for a boy but the girl has been very hard for us.

And after a few hours in the car coming home we have a girls name all set :)

Very fun.... and there are such WEIRD names out there :)

first name for us is set in stone too.

i love this name so much that i would use it for a boy but i feel like it is a girl's name, even though it's not really a name at all.

i would be so shocked if we were having a boy though...i almost wish we were having a girl just because i like the name better for a girl.

haha. that is so lame. i would love to have another little man! don't get me wrong...i am just kind of stuck on names.

the other name we like is also not really a name at all and will work for a middle name for either sex, but i like it only for a boy.

and it's not set in stone...we haven't seriously been thinking about middle names yet. every time i bring up names my husband makes up the most ridiculous names to be funny and it is funny, but just not worth talking about all the time.
