Is it too late to start 5W?

I am almost 38 weeks. I usually go over about 3 weeks. I also have a tendency to hemorage (slight with a few fainting spells). Anyway- I've been reading about 5W, but I don't know if it is too late to do any good. I am also VBACing this time, so I am really wanting to do everyting I can to avoid induction talk.

So, have any of you mama's started taking it this late in the game? Do you think it would do any good?

I am also taking EPO and drinking RRL.

Thanks everyone!

i am taking EPO and RRL tea. i was wondering about the 5-W but havent read anything. do you have a good link to share??
just curious (scratching my head smiley) what is 5W?
I have my mw's blend tincturing away in my pantry right now. On the info sheet she hands out, it says that it's most important the last 2 or 3 weeks, so I would think starting now would only help! Also, she says that it's good to take it the first couple weeks ppd to help get everything back in shape again.

5W is an herbal compound (right word?) designed to strengthen and tone the uterus. From my mw's handout: "This herbal formula nourishes and tones the uterus and pelvic area in preparation for childbirth. ... These actions assist in building a stronger uterine muscle, balancing uterine tone, decreasing ineffective false labor pain and facilitating for more effective labor contractions."

ETA: If you are also worried about the possibility of hemoraging, another thing she told me (I love my mw!) was that spirulina is good to have consistently leading up to birth because of the Vitamin K that is found naturally in it - it can not only transfer over to your babe via placenta and breastmilk, but it can also help build up your Vit K to help prevent maternal hemoraging after birth. OT here, but where does one get 5W? I did RRL and EPO w/ VBAC1 and plan on it again w/ this one. Have never heard of 5w tho.
there's a section on this page about 5w (and others) ingredients and places to get it... now I can't decide which type to take or if I should just mix my own or what!

Here's where I got mine http://stores.skipjack.com/betterher...erbs+For+Women

Super fast shipping too! And the best price I found. I started taking it at 35 weeks and ds arrived 39 weeks 1 day. While with dd I was sectioned at 40 weeks 2 days and no labor really in site. I was a 1-2 cm and about 70% effaced with her...but that was it. (she was sectioned due to breech presentation
: )

I also did EPO and RRL tea too with ds.
