Hi, my almost 11 month old DS has only stayed on the breast for like a minute the past two days(except for his 2 night time feeds). He pops off even before the milk lets down & wants to play in the floor. He's had a cold this week so I have had to use saline drops & suction his nose before nursing. I am also propping him up to nurse & have even tried nursing him while he stands up. Oh, he was also biting a lot(this hasn't happended today thank goodness) & would just laugh and wiggle to the floor. He does eat solids pretty good, but doesn't drink much water from his cup. I am trying to limit spoon feedings & mostly let him self feed. He doesn't take a bottle & I'm keeping the paci away(except for naptime & bedtime). I am so not ready for him to wean. Is this a strike or just normal 11 month old baby behaviour. I'm just kinda scared because he's only nursing like twice a day<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"> Any advice appreciated

My 10 mo DS is getting in his top 2 teeth and seems to be nursing less and wanting solids more - we have been doing purees <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/bag.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Bag">:. Would like some other perspectives....

Both sound like strikes. One b/c of the nose, the other probably b/c of the solids- I would stop the spoon feeding in that case.<br><br>
