I've heard about a spermicide made with Octoxynol-9 (as opposed to nonoxynol-9) that used to be available in both the US and Canada. Many people who are sensitive to nonoxynol-9 have luck using Octoxynol-9 instead. I know it's been pulled from the US market, but I think it might still be available in Canada. I've called a couple of pharmacies, and haven't had luck locating it yet.
Do you any of you have any information about this? It used to be available under the name Ortho-Gynol, but they also make a lot of nonoxynol-9 spermicides, so it's a bit hard to tell what's going on without actually going to Canada to see the boxes of spermicide for myself.
