DD is 22 months old and nurses 2-4 times a day depending on her mood, what we are doing, if she's sick (we just went through a bout of Scarlet Fever and she nursed like a newborn again, almost.....her PED even gave her a script, handed it to her, for nursing on demand as long as she was sick and as long as she wanted....literally...

Anyhoo, the past 2 or 3 days she's nursed maybe twice...maybe....Is she just getting to busy and forgetting...I'll offer and she'll come over for a second or so but then off she goes.....

How will I know when she is weaning?????? I'm not ready...

She's not necessarily weaning. DD (26 mo.) has been down to one nursing session every other day or so for a few months now. It seems she is just too busy for awhile and then she will all of the sudden jump on my lap, unzip my hoodie and say "More boob plee"

I hope your little one is not weaning yet! Everytime I think about the day dd weans I want to cry.

Thanks Scrap!!!!

I never thought I'd make it past a week and her I am sad that I think she doesn't want to at 22 months.....Guess that's how it happens eh???

I only worry bc I've had a low supply most of the time.......great the first few months, then lots of work to keep it up and I don't want it to dwindle and be not there for her....

Stop being so busy.....LOL

Yeah, I remember the days (and nights) when I would be begging any spirit that would listen to let us make it to three months and now here we are at over two years!

I am not much of an expert on low supply issues but could you perhaps hand express or pump on the days she's too busy to nurse?

When my dd was exactly 22 months old I posted the same question here. She really seemed not interested in nursing anymore. However, right now she is again very keen on nursing and nurses frequently, she is 25 months now. I think they go through phases when they lose interest and then they are again into it very much. Also, at night, my dd has weeks when she maybe nurses once or twice at most and there are weeks when she literally wants to hold my nipple in her mouth all night through.
