Hello all,

When I was pregnant with my son, I was diagnosed with "muzzle rash," otherwise known as periortal dermatitis. Basically, the skin on my face gets red and rashy.

I found that flouride could cause this and switched to Tom's of Maine, which helped. Eventually, I started back on my old toothpaste and, guess what, it came back.

I switched back to Toms, which helped some, but I still have a bit of the rash around my nose. Then I started doing research on sodium lauryl sulfate and how it can cause dermatitis, especially in those of us who are prone to eczema (I am as well.)

Does anyone have experience with eczema or muzzle rash and sodium lauryl sulfate?
